Default starve to death ?

Years ago I heard that a person could starve to death on moose alone, not enough protein or something,I recently heard the same thing about the 200lbs of caribou meat that I just put in my freezer.
So I Googled wild game nutrition and the numbers for fat, protein, cholesteral and something else seemed in line with other game and domestic meats.
So whats up, is it just an old wives tale, or is there something to this myth?

It is called rabbit starvation. There isn't enough fat on a rabbit for our bodys need.

I say we do a show like "super size me" and eat nothing but moose and caribou meat for 30 days and see what the outcome would be. I will be the test subject. Everyone send me your moose and caribou meat.

I'm told rabbit and caribou, yes... moose no...

Yeaaa, people been earing caribou for thousands of years, but that's not the only thing they were eating...

No one lives on "just" caribou, so i wouldn't get too worried about it...

I have heard this about trout. It would be hard to catch enough trout to feed yourself and survive versus walking out. At least this was one survival scenario.
