Flounder/Fluke

BigDaddy12t 07-22-2010 12:45 PM

Crappie, sunfish, walleye.

Ruddyduck 08-03-2010 05:16 AM

Trout,Salmon, waleye year round and Perch and smelt thru the ice are the only wild fresh water fish i like , now from saltwater the list is endless when properly handled and prepared.

j76 08-04-2010 05:04 PM

What fish dont taste good is a better question i think! I've tried every kind i could get in front of me at one point or another, deep fried panfish, walleye pike or brooke trout are awfull hard to beat, but ive had white tip shark on the grill that would make ya wanna smack yer mamma in the mouth too!! Its a loaded question!!! Whats better, porterhouse or t- bone!!! If it swims, runs or flies, and ya know how to cook it, its dam tastey!!!

Walleye and perch, especially if they are through the ice

Noršvegr 09-11-2010 09:03 PM

Fried catfish FTW!

blackhawk_archery 09-18-2010 10:03 PM

I prefer a buffalo sandwich,

Koanbred 10-23-2010 01:15 AM

The absolute best tasting fish is Black Bass. Next, comes Red Snapper soon to be followed by Catfish. Since I am a real fish lover, I'll take Rock fish, Tilapia, Flounder, Chilean Sea Bass, Walleye, and Salmon, as well...

I just love seafood.
I mostly prefer Salmon and Oysters.
also sometimes like to eat Shrimp mostly found in northern Canada.

accman 11-08-2010 12:53 PM

I'm partial to the Striper. Best piece of filet around. Next is fluke, sea bass, and weakfish. When I go out to eat, I try all different kinds of fish, cause it's great trying new ways of cooking it. Steak ? anyone can make a steak, but Branzino or Chilean Sea Bass, Halibut, Red Snapper; the chef can bring a whole new avenue for you to enjoy (or you might not like it at all.) My nephew got some fresh tuna and swordfish steaks, put em on the grill, and everyone loved it, except for me. Just didn't like the texture or the taste. To each his own.

aaalaska 11-09-2010 08:03 PM

Hard to beat fresh halibut.
Alex

angus112 11-13-2010 07:02 PM

i enjoy eating milkfish.

bubbinator 01-06-2013 10:48 PM

Crappie/bream/catfish/bass from freshwater. Salmon/tuna/sea trout/flounder from salt water. Tilapia, a farmered species has more fat in it than bacon!!!

friscospices.com 01-09-2013 07:06 AM

Best fish I've ever eaten was a Tile fish. They eat mainly crustations so the flavor is like a blend of lobster, crab, and shrimp. But for my catch I prefer Perch over any other fresh water fish.

deerslyer11 01-09-2013 09:08 AM

Panfish is prolly my favorite. But salmon or steelhead cooked on the grill in butter and garlic. mhmm
but it all depends on how it is prepared.

fritz1 01-09-2013 03:24 PM

Freshwater-Crappie
Saltwater- harder to narrow down. Grouper, Snapper, or Mahi Mahi

Gm54-120 01-09-2013 07:11 PM

Freshwater...hmmm...Crappie is hard to beat but a lot of small panfish are good too.

Saltwater...all that i have tried were excellent cooked but fatty tuna stands out raw or lightly seared for sashimi or sushi. A triggerfish i caught called a "tally" was outstanding cooked on the grill.

Father Forkhorn 01-10-2013 05:52 AM

At the moment , I go hankerin' for some fried bluegills.

Gabe G 01-11-2013 11:09 AM

Fresh: yellow perch fried in spicy pork grinds

Salt: Black drum baked

Squeeze 02-17-2013 04:35 AM

Atlantic white cod, bluefin tuna, flounder...almost any fish is good

VTBoneCollector 02-17-2013 04:50 AM

I like to eat white meat fish, like perch, walleye, haddock, and striper bass.

Chopayne 02-17-2013 04:55 AM

Unless I eat a fish raw, I cant distinguish the differences when frieds or baked.

OpticsCamp 02-17-2013 06:25 AM

Fresh bluegill is some of the best freshwater fish I've had. Saltwater has to be swordfish, or fresh shark meat.

Seif5034 02-17-2013 11:38 AM

fried crappie with ketchup. =)

Wilcam47 02-27-2013 08:29 AM

I dont remember if I posted in this thread or not...lol but I like crappie, rock/striped bass, blue catfish not the muddy cats, alaskan salmon, trout, havent had walleye yet that I know of, hadduk is good, croaker, bluefish, spot...I like quite a bit of them haha theres lots more I want to try...

redgreen 02-27-2013 08:50 AM

Walleye rules!

Psylocide 02-27-2013 09:51 AM

Fresh: Walleye or bluegills

Salt: Swordfish or Mahi-mahi

Ron1324 03-02-2013 04:54 AM

I was in elk camp in wy. 1 year, my buddy was in alaska that summer and brought home some fresh hailabit, we cooked it there on a nice wood fire. never had anything better.

redbike22 01-21-2014 02:01 PM

Snook, mahi, red snapper, mangrove snapper, flounder...in that order

I agree with the saltwater. Swordfish is like a meaty steak

Fresh: crappie, crappie, and more crappie

Phil from Maine 01-21-2014 03:27 PM

Saltwater: Flounder or Halibut

Freshwater: Brook Trout and Whitefish..

Ridge Runner 01-21-2014 04:32 PM

Without a doubt, Cobia, flounder nor walleye can compare
RR

DJfan 01-21-2014 04:43 PM

Brook trout, crappie, small mouth, walleye, perch for fresh water.

Cod, halibut, ling, albacore for salt water.

blaZer_2 01-21-2014 04:49 PM

catfish or crappie

DIY_guy 01-23-2014 06:42 AM

Hands down perch and blugill. I grew up on Northern Pike and like it more than walleye.
