tasty squirrel?

Well, my 13 y/o son has decided to go into the squirrel tail selling business. He will be shooting them, and sending the tails to Mepps for payment. Yeah, I know, but a dad supports his son, right? So, anyway, I am gonna have to eat some squirrel this year I fear, and have never really investigated cooking. All I have ever done is grill them, and that's not bad, but something must be better.

You can substitute squirrel in any of the crock pot recipe replies that Dairy King gets in his thread.:D

the young ones (tender ones) season with lowyers, garlic powder, cavanders,a little salt and pepper. flour lightly. pan fry just like you do chicken.

the old (tough ones),season as above, lightly flour, pan fry till brown, save the pan drippings for later to make gravey with, then put in pressure cooker for about an hr. or until tender.remove from pot, strain , put drippings into the skillet with the leftover from frying, add 3 spoons of flour and a little water , cook untill golden brown, add meat back and warm. serve with stomped taters and biscuts.[8D][8D]
