Because its like any other toy you want the latest greatest out there to show off till somthing new comes along then you want that. Most off the time its not much different then what you already have.

I'm not into newest and fastest. I like to get equipment (bow, arrows, sights,etc...) on clearance when the new year models come in. I've had two compound bows. The first one I got in 1986. I passed it down to my nephew this year after I got a new bow. I hope this one lasts 18 years like the last.

Not me. I went 12 season with my first PSE (thunder flight express). Then this forum gave me to itch.

IMO the 2 top causes of buying a new bow are,
1) that damn cronograph(it'll do it everytime)
2)Keeping up with the Jones's.

It's a sickness for me. I'm truly obsessed and have OCD (Obsessive Compulsvie Disorder) to the max. Usually it is the men that have to keep their women in check when it comes to shopping and buying things. It's just the opposite at my house. My wife is the frugal one and I am the one who just can't help myself when I go to the proshop or log onto ebay. They say admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery!
