First time at your site and posted about crossbows and had it locked like I said what are you guys afraid of? I bow hunted for years until I became disabled and now use a crossbow. It seems like those of us that do are lepers compared to the rest of the bow hunting fraternity. I just wonder if all the gun owners that never hunted with a bow demanded that bows were not allowed either?? See how you fellows would like it. Its pretty bad when some one who hunts with a arrow in one method does not some one else to do the same though the delivery is different the end results are the same. Well it was a nice welcome to your site first post and locked I suppose this one will be also. Jim

I actually support your efforts to hunt with a cross bow. Feel free to use the "search" feature to find out what the rest of us think. If you wish you can follow this link

Feel free to read all 115 pages of it
Also, I read your first post. I thought it was nice and I agree pretty much with what you're saying. Don't be too offended if this thread gets locked though. Stick around and welcome to the forum.

Jim, welcome to the site.
You just happened to pick the wrong time to talk about crossbows. We had been in an argument over them for weeks and the moderators got tired of it.
I hope you will stick around and for the record, I support and respect your choice of the crossbow.

Don't worry about it Jim ,it's just that this argument was going in circles and it was time to lock it out when thing's start getting repeated over and over it's time to move on to other area's of our fabvourite past time . I agree with what your saying as well and we should all be sticking together with whatever method we choose to hunt, because hunting is hunting and that's why you never seen my name posted to any of the past thread's on Xbow's .
Anyway's stick around there's lot's of good people here with a ton of knowledge and will be willing to help in your time of need . Welcome to the forum and forget about the thread as other's have said you just had bad timing that's all .

narrow minded is right.
Most guys on this site are compound shooters and believe their bows are so much more challenging than crossbows and therefore don't want to share seasons with them. I live in Arkansas, several guys here do, and several live in GA and OH and Canada ....... and we've got legal crossbows and have never had a negative come of it. Not once.
Enjoy your crossbow. Sometimes I wish every person against them would break a collarbone 2 weeks before archery season and be forced to either hunt with a crossbow or not bowhunt at all to really get firsthand knowledge of how the hunt changes, how it doesn't and all thats involved with using a crossbow to archery hunt. P&Y bucks do not walk out and say "shoot me" when guys use crossbows !

Don't start your crap all over again, dm!
I don't know of anyone that frequents this forum that is against the truly, permanently disabled using crossbows in bow season. I'm not. I'm not against hunting with them either. I hunt with mine, during the seasons it's legal. I simply feel they are something that does not need to be allowed unrestricted access to bow seasons.
