How many arrows do you buy a year?
#2
I shoot XX75s so they are not as durable as your Gold Tips but I Tinker a lot with my set-up the last few months before the season so I end up wit a bunch of arrows to short, to long, to heavy, to light, and so on. Once I get my stuff together I get a dozen to practice with and another dozen to hunt. That may sem lik a lot of huntin arrows but I get ,on avarage, three deer, one or two turkeys, and sometimes an elk,not counting a few tree rats that "commit suicide" around my tree each year!

I bought a dozen gold tips 2 years ago and I think I have 7 left. What I do is just refletch when they get real bad. I pulled 3 arrows aside for hunting and practice with the other 4..... Good luck to ya

I buy lots of arrows. lol. No, its not cause i shoot real bad or anything, its cause i loose alot. I do a lot of small game hunting and bird hunting plus target shooting and 3D. Plus, i love to fletch arrows. So, i buy lots of bare shafts just so i can fletch them. I have like 2 dozen arrows right now, just cause. So, to answer your question i buy probably 3 or 4 dozen each year. :-)

I am on my 3rd dozen Gold Tip XT's since March of this year.
With practicing shooting groups from 20 to 50 yrds to get the groups as tight as I can my arrows dont last very long.
I do have 4 brand new arrows all ready for this season and another dozen in the closet waiting to be made up.

I'm still shooting from the same dozen I bought 2 years ago. I always shoot into a good target and never try robin hoods. Arrows cost too much for that. I really want to switch to carbons, but will just have to wait and see how many good arrows I have left after deer season is over. By the way, after I arrow a deer, if the arrow is still straight it is washed and used again. I started getting way too many arrow as keep sakes after killing deer with them so now I just re-use them. I have killed as many as 3 deer with the same arrow some seasons.

Man I have to start buying stock in easton with some of you guys out there.
I have 2 of 6 arrows out of a batch I bought 6 years ago and 4 of 6 from a batch I bought 3 years ago. I shoot 3 deer a year, but just wash off the blood and you can use them for several deer.
Some things are true whether you believe them or not.
