Being fairly new to hunting, I don't have years of history, but have heard the full moon makes for tough deer hunting. Is this really true or have some of you had just as much luck on full moon's?
Our opener next weekend is the full moon. Do i need to change my strategy at all?

HUNTING IS NOT A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH. IT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT!<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

I've been told and have noticed myself on days with a full moon the night before hunting, sleep in and get to your stand late, the deer activity will be during the middle of the day and not at morning and evening. I get to my stand on a full moon night at about 0900-1000 hrs. and hunt during the day. Deer will feed all night and then head for there beds and then feed again during the middle of the day, early afternoon. Just the opposite on no moon nights, they'll feed early morning and late evenings.

10 Point Tony - At least thats something we need not worry about this year for bowseason anyway.
But I do agree with Wolf6151 no need to run out before dawn on the day of a full moon cause most deer will be bedding down by first light.
