Default fiber optics for pins

You know ve got an extra pin for my Cobra ascent sight which I want to experiment with. Im sick of just 3 colored pins and was thinking about trying to find some of the material for the optics in different colors and changing the pins color. Just to see if something could be more visible. For me green is great but yellow is kinda blurry and red well, It sucks. Any ideas on the diameter Id need and where I could find some fiber optic rods that would be small enough to work. My pins have the smallest diameter available from Cobra.

Sorry, don't know where to get the material, but I agree red and yellow don't work for me, but the green realy stands out.

I also like the green. I use 3 greens all the time. People worry about using the wrong pin, but I will say that if you are careful, and focus, and want that big buck bad enough, then you will make yourself think about what you are doing, and use the right pin. To tell you the truth, you get used to choosing the right pin based on its location in the sight bracket, as opposed to the color.

The only other colors than green, red, yellow I've seen have been Blue and orange.
You most likely have either .019 or .029 fibers in your sight.

Try www.zenitharchery.com Joe at Zenith sells the fibers in lengths over 12" long. They aren't on his sight but I know he has them.Drop him an email he will help you out.

You could also try www.baxtersarchery.com I know they carry the blue fibers.

For me the green is the easiest to see. Blue is also pretty good. I do have lighter green, more in the clear stage that works really well for early morning and late afternoon when the sun has gone down.

Until this winter i have not had trouble with any of the colors. Since i have moved indoors and under artificial light i am loosing them bad. Bought a larger diameter pin today will see how that works.
