Sunday Hunting?
 

I was just reading a post by rybohunter and he posted that Pensylvania doesn't allow hunting on sunday. That surprized me, I have heard parts of Canada does the same. I am just curious why is that? I honesly don't know if I would be for or against it if it came to a vote. I am not big on hunting the weekends because that's when all the idiot weekend warrior are out spooking all the game. It would also be nice to have a day of rest and give the animals a break too. Whats your opinion?

i am totally against it sunday is the only day a lot of people can hunt. i can hunt til 10 and still get to church then hunt the afternoon.

In Michigan we have a few counties that are closed, not mine fortunately.

Other than during a few short lived seasons, the animals have 5 days to rest during the week while mostly everyone is working. Yes weekends can get busy, but some of those "weekend warriors" would love to be able to hunt during the week and just can't. Adding an extra day a weeke to would relieve some of the pressure of HAVING to get out that one and only day of the weekend you are allowed.

I hunt Sundays just like any other day, here in Kansas.

A few years( maybe 10) back Ohio started alowing Sunday hunting .
First on duck then over a few years everything , you should have heard the do gooders bitch.

Some of us only have the weekends to hunt.. Thats ridiculos!

My job reqires me to work Monday through Friday 10-14 hours a day, I cannot hunt anything but the weekends. That makes me an automatic idiot? Be gratefull that you have the freedom to choose when to go and don't label us that are not in your position. I have enjoyed most of your posts but I find this to be as prejudiced a comment as the antis make.

I believe they refer to that as the Blue Laws....?? Is that correct?

I guess we are all just a bunch of redneck hethens down here, that would have never passed.

However, I do not hunt on Sunday's. That is church day and family day for me
