I heard the food pantries here are no longer accepting donations. Seems they are affraid of getting one that has CWD. Too bad too, I bet about 20,000 deer go in the dumpster here. Less than 3% of those will have the disease.<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

Kind of, we get about 150# of sausage done every year. 1/5th is usually mine. I give a couple people I know that dont have much $$$ about 5 pounds of sausage, a roast and some burger every year. Id rather see it go to someone I know. I also bring them fish throughout the summer months.

My friend and hunting partner is the Kansas State Director for &quot;Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry&quot; (FHFH). It is an awesome program, ideal for hunters wanting to donate meat to the hungry. Let me know if you want or need any information on the program.

As long as I have some in the freezer I donate. So far this year we have donated all of the deer we have gotten (3). This year, you have to contribute $20 for the processing, but I don't mind. It makes me feel good to know that I can benefit others by doing something I love.
