Default first 3d shoot

I shot in my first 3d shoot today. It was at nancy's broken arrow. I absolutely had a blast. I shot a 403 out of a possible 480, I was in the hunter class. I only had one miss, It was on a turkey, which were double points today. There was a decoy hen right in front of the gobbler. To sink it in the 20 point ring I had to shoot a 1/2 inch over the head of the hen. Needless to say I drilled that hen right through the head, everybody found it quite amusing. I can't hardly wait for the next shoot.

now, to get to the next step (where im at), you need to become adept at traveling all around the state to shoot 3-ds, while not winning a dang one of them")

It becomes very hard to tell the difference in symptoms between a 3-D er and a crack addict. You will sell of everything you own to get more arrows to shoot more shoots, you start ignoring your family and can't wait for another hit. It gets real bad after a while.

I did my first 3D shoot today too, what a blast! I shot a 242 out of a possible 300. Some of the shots were wicked, between trees, brush in front of the animals, steep angles up and down, etc. I had a great time, met some new people, and think im gonna end up liking this. Can hardly wait for the next shoot!

I've also mastered that aspect.

Don't think that will be hard I sold off stuff to buy my parker less than a month ago, and now I'm ready to do it again to get another bow and set it up with target sights and stabilizer.

peebles;
I have heard from all that have shot there that they put on a great shoot over at Nancy's Broken Arrow.. one of these days I'll have to make it over there to shoot. Glad to hear you had a great day at your 3D Shoot.... I find 3D Shoots to be a blast and I always meet some great people at shoots
I shot over at Georgetown Illinois yesterday at Sam's Pro Shop Illiana Bowhunters 3D Shoot yesterday........ They give away free Tree Stands at every 3D Shoot......... I had a great day over there yesterday...I shot a 290 out of a possible 300 and I won the tree stand
If you get a to shoot Georgetowns 3D Shoots they shoot the 3rd Sunday of every month. Also.... Urbana Illinois East Central Illinois Archers 3D Shoot is the 3rd Saturday of every month... we also in Urbana will be hosting The ASA State 3D Qualifier on May 21-22, and hosting the ASA State 3D Championship on July 16-17hope you can come over and shoot with us.

Now you just need a turkey tag and some gobbler guilletine.

In all honesty I think 3-d shoots are one of the best learning tools for new hunters and they're a heck of a lot of fun too. 3-d shoots give you the hance to practice on life like targets, guess distances and a chance to learn and pick up tips from other shooters. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself

Maybe I should get a turkey tag and try that shot on a live one. Although I could probably never make that shot again.
