RE: Weekend Warriors

I guess I'm a little lucky in that I'm on the road usually 3 days a week forntualyI travel to my hunting area. Here is my feeling on hunting I can't help myself. I'm no good to my wife mostyly 2nd wk of oct to nov. After 8 years of marrige it's easy for to figure me out. She does a lot of craft fairs or redecorates rooms in the house. So it does cost me $ but well worth it. She tells me just go your driving me nuts. I'm probably not right it my thinking but she agrees with it, that I don't play softball or go to bars with my buddies a couple times a week. I'm pretty much hers for 10 1/2 months a year. Since I travel so much I do usually try to hunt fri and sat And travel home sat night so I can spend All day sunday with The family. Good luck to all this year.

I pretty much attempt to revolve my life around hunting rather than trying to squeeze it in when I can. It's a personal choice I make. I have no children and a very understanding woman. I have been fortunate in my last job to have flexible hours within reason and good amounts of vacation. The next job I get(I am laid off currently) I will attmept to have the same. It seems most companies anymore are willing to haggle with vacation and flex hours.

Some things are true whether you believe them or not.

I haven't hunted on a weekday in 2 years, and that was as a HS senior getting out of school at 1:40. now i live 2.5 hours away. season starts oct 1 and i haven't even been home. as much as i love to hunt, sometimes, other things HAVE to come first, that's life.

RE: Weekend Warriors

I work different shifts so i get to hunt alot of mornings. My days off are sometimes during the week which helps alot. I usually take two different weeks of vacation during hunting season which gives me a lot more time to hunt. I actually don't hunt alot on saturdays because of all the people in the woods....
