RE: Stuipid Corn!!!!!

I'd walk up and down every row of a corn in that field if I had to if I was certian my deer was laying dead in it.. Also in WNY there is a group called Deer Search. They are a group of outdoorsmen dedicated to finding wounded animals. They often come in with a bloodhound and help you find the animal. There meant to be used as a last resort. Fortunately I never had to use them. The major point I think everyone is trying to make is that you should totally exhaust yourself trying to find the animal. They gave their life for your sporting enjoyment, you owe them at least that much, if not more. If it gets to dark, get flash lights, if its getting to late and your exhausted, come back the next morning with a couple of friends. I not trying to say you didn't make an effort I am sure you did, but you shouldn't blame the corn for not finding the deer. Maybe the deer moved and it hit the shoulder not the heart as you thought. Well I hope it doesn't happen to you again. Good luck.

Just because you can't see deep into the corn doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to track a deer. All that standing corn is just something for them to rub blood off on.
