Make up a sign that says..."If the man in this picture (yourself) isn't the one developing this film, call ***-**** and you will receive a reward if this camera has been stolen". Stand in front of your cam for the first pic and this will show up upon development.

Hopefully some nosey kid developing your pics will see this and call.

dj, that's great! I'm glad some of these jerks get caught. And thats a great idea Pro Line. I went out with a buddy this weekend and someone had broken 1 leg on each of 3 feeders he had set up. Hopefully, he can have some luck catching them.

DJ that is a great story. I am always glad to here when they get caught.

Huntnbuddy I hope you are able to find the guys that did this. I know it must be very hard on your girls. I'm sure they too were looking forward to seeing pictures from it.

I'm sorry to hear your misfortune. It sucks when you can't leave anything in the woods espically in the off season. There are times when you know your running a risk if you leave the cam out but this time of year isn't one of those times. I hope you're able to locating the idots who did it and give them a beatdown of a lifetime.[:'(]

Is there any snow in IL? Were you able to follow foot prints or anything?

I get downright mean and nasty thoughts whenever I hear crap like that!

Anyway , what I did is made a stamp at work (to make it look official) that says "Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Field Study" and stamped it on the front housing of the camera. Dont know if it's worked or not but nobody has stolen my camera yet.:D

went out today to check my leaf river trail cam and all that was there was the masterlock python that was cut on and beat on but was still hooked to the tree. all around yhe tree was the batteries and busted parts of the cam. the main part of the cam was gone. this was on privite property,if I ever find out who did it ..... and what makes it even worst is that it was a x-mas gift from my two daughters.
I guarantee your cam got a photo of a trespasser, poacher, or a thief.
