Strange question! I own a PSE Bruin and I also own a Parker Hunter Mag. You really wouldn't go wrong with either. Both are fast shooters. Both will shoot accurately. No, you don't have to part with $1000-$1500 like some of these guys on here to get a decent bow to hunt with. Dead is dead....the deer won't know the difference. In fact, I have a 25 year old PSE that I kill a deer with almost every year. Keep your money in your pocket...you don't need a Mathews or Bowtech. Some of these guys buy new every year. Bows depreciate faster than Korean made cars...they ain't a good investment. Besides, bowhunting is a solo sport....there ain't nobody out there to impress. Some of the fella's on here shoot homemade bows with remarkable success rates. You should be able to buy the PSE Bruin for a little less money than the Parker.

I've never owned a parker but my first pse I shot for 11 season before retiring it. Besides normal maintence(strings and cables) I never had to do a thing to my bow. I was happy enough with my first that I replaced it with another pse.

You've gotten the best advice already though. Shoot both and buy what feels right to you. Personally I'm a loyal PSE customer but you may find the parker is abetter fit for you.

Pick which one smells the best. I'm not much of a feely kind of guy. I might not feel the same tomarrow.

You want to hunt with one is that right? If it is here are some things I have learned I don't want and not in any particular order. Weight. It must be light enough to hold for long periods. If it isn't it can led to tendentious. Maneuverability. A tree stand is not roomy. Noise. Nuf said. Speed. The ability to shoot with 1 pin to 30 yrds. Warranty. Will it be honored. Information. As much as possible.

I'd pick the PSE but I'd probably find an older Thunderbolt.

nodog forgot the most important feature of a compound bow. Correct drawlength. Short out of a treestand is the least important thing. Gee, I wonder how we ever killed anything with those 48" and 50" bows of yesteryear.
