RE: single pin for hunting

I use one pin also, set at 17yds dead on. I practice by throwing my arrows all over the yard so I don't know the exact distance to the target. The shots usually range from ten to fifty yds, not that I would shoot fifty yds (thirty is my limit). When I practice out of a treestand I will set up my three targets at different distances and switch them after each round.

RE: single pin for hunting

I have my single pin Cosmic set for 30yrds and with a little compensating for shorter and bit longer distance's the single pin is fine .I only go to a 5 pin while shooting 3D and if I'm hunting very open area's for moose hunting. Really for hunting the single pin is really the only site that you need .
