Hey Jeremy,
The main problem with the Conquest 3 that you sold me ( and I am not complaining, I am very happy with it, and I thank you for selling it to me) is that whomever changed it from a Max cam to a MiniMax, forgot to put all of the bushings back in the cam!The bushings on the right side were gone, which when shot, caused a chain of other problems. I noticed it when I put it on the presse to check everything. The cam was wobbling all over the place and when you shot it, it stretched the Buss cable out and unraveled the serving on the Buss!It would only pull 63 pounds on the scale,and the ATA and the brace height were off. I took it apart, replaced all the bushings in the cam, put a new string and Buss on it ( Mathews standard equipment ), and tuned it all in. It pulls 72 pounds on the scale now, and shoots arrows like bullets! Taking nocks off of arrows at 30 yards! Thanks again!!

I will tell you exactly what it is. There is a rubber stop on your lower cam. When you draw your bow, just before the cam rolls over your string will rub against the stop makeing a rubber band doink. Push the stop with your finger in toward your cam enough that your string no longer hits the stop. Trim just enough off if you can't push it in enough. This happened to me also and drove me crazy until I figured it out. Pushed it in and no problem.

rob, um.. im glad its shooting good for you theres no doubt it will shoot great! but i never had the cams changed thats what i ordered it in and i had it all of its life sooo...

I didn't say that YOU changed the cam, only that whomever did it, forgot to put the bushings back in it. I don't know how you could have ever considered taking that bow to shoot in a Triple Crown event with half the bushings missing in the cam, If you received it from Mathews like that,you should have sent it back.If you practiced with it, as much as most people practice,especially if they are going to shoot a Triple Crown Event, the cam and string had to be in a different position every time you made a shot. You wouldn't have been able to sight it in, and this should have sent up a Red Flag saying " Something isn't right "!!?? So I am going to go ahead and compete in a Triple Crown shoot with a bow that I can't sight in or hit anything with???:eek:

Go to the nearest hardware store and get yourself some of those 1/4" felt pads that are used under glass that is placed on furniture. They have a 'sticky' side that will adhere to the draw stop on the cam. This will eliminate that noise you're hearing.

I do this for my customers with not only Hoyts but other bows. I've even wedged them into the end of the cable tracks on some designs. Try two of them on the Hoyt paddle/stop if you want double protection. You can trim any excess with a razor blade. ;)

I thought they stopped making the RazorTec in 03?

Also, I have heard that noise, or one just like it, from my 04 ViperTec a few times, but I can never pinpoint where it is coming from and it is intermittant so it's hard to track down. Been driving me nuts.
