One pin for hunting?????

I saw a post here a few days ago about setting one single pin for 25 yards and bieng good to 30 yards. My results were....10 yards=2" high.....20 yards=1.5" high.....30 yards=2" low. I think this is what I'll go with this year. I also noticed that my groups tightened up with the simplicity of a single pin. Much easier to concentrate on the center of the target without the clutter of the other two pins.

That is my theory also. It will depend on the speed of your arrow, but my results are very similar to yours. I find that out to 40 yards, I'm no more accurate with mutliple pin sites on a 3D course, and I think I make quicker and better decisions with only one pin under the pressure of shooting at a live animal.

One pin for me set at 20 yards dead on, at 10 yards I put it 1 inch low, at 30 yards I put it 1 inch high, works well for me.

I prefer one pin too....I think it is much simpler and makes for a quicker decision when the time comes.

Yep, one pin for me. As I practice, I get better at knowing where to hold at varying distances. It almost becomes instinctive. I've shot my best scores at 3D with one pin. Now I don't shoot over an 18 yd turkey with the 35 yd pin by mistake anymore.

Take the guess work out of it. Helped me many years ago to go to one pin. No quessing you know what that one pin does.

I use 5 pins. Pretty cluttered, but I know exactly where I'm hitting at 20yrds, 30yrds, 40yrds, 50yrds, and 60yrds.

I use 1 pin also... I used to have multiple pins, but since going to one pin my groups have tightened. My pin is set for 25 to 30 yards, which is the distance I feel comfortable shooting at, any farther and I have trouble focusing on the vitals... With enuf pratice I have figured out how to move my pin up and down for diffrent distances....
