I can't advise you on the SB but I haven't found the need to put them on my Outback or Legacy. I don't think that they will increase or decrease the life of your bow.

I shot mine without them (Limb Saver Ultra's) before I bought it and it made no difference when I put them on. My reasoning I guess is it can't hurt the bow. The quieter the better. As far as increasong the life of the bow, I really don't know. One thing that I did learn with mine is I went from a bungie (black tubing) peep to a Jim Fletcher hunting peep (no tubing) and it got even quieter. I guess the tubing might of been snapping when shot. I don't know. I have no string silencers, no string leeches, no bat wings, nothing on the string at all. It's super quiet as is. Plus, any extras on the string just slows down you FPS. Let me know how you tricked it out. I'm always curious about someone elses set up.

Well what i did was put a Trophy Ridge 5 pin sight on it and a trophy ridge drop away rest and a alpine archery quiver. As far a the peep sight i did the same thing as you, i hate the tubing.

Mathews Switchback @ 70 lbs
QAD Ultra Rest
Copper John Dead Nuts Pro
Limb Savers (although I've heard they're not necessary....just habit, I guess)
Beman ICS 400 Hunters (think I should go to 340s)
Muzzy 3-Blade 100 gr.

Dead boar in the freezer already
(36 yard, double-lunger)

I put limbsavers on my Switchback. Did it make any difference? I don't know, but have heard it might prolong the life of the limbs.

Forgive my ignorance, but this thing is supposed to have a lifetime gaurantee. What is the reason for such concern over the extension of limb life? Are you afraid of the bow coming apart and injury? I wouldn't think it would be necessary unless you are shooting an exceptionally light arrow.

I forgot that the bow has a lifetime warrenty. So then i shouldn't have to worry about the limbs. How light is to light of an arrow i am shooting Easton Axis 400's are these good or too light?
