Okay...still need some help here. In particular, am I okay shooting expandable broadheads!?
My setup:
Mathews Switchback @ 70lbs and 29" draw length + a string loop.
Beman Carbon Hunter 400's @ 27" (maybe 27.5"?)
Currently shooting Rocky Mountain Snypers. DO YOU THINK THOSE ARE OKAY for BOAR HUNTING?
Bought G5 Montec's, but not having the best of luck getting consistent grouping with them. ACCORDING TO THEIR ADVERTISING, THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO FLY LIKE FIELD POINTS!! They don't seem to!
Additionally, has anyone hunted hogs in Blackville, SC (Graham's Turnout)? It's south/southwest of Columbia, almost due east of Augusta.
Thanks for any help/advice!!!!

is your bow properly tuned?, if you havent paper tuned your bow dont expect your broadheads to fly correctly, although most people advise against expandables for hogs, shot placement is the key thing, i have shot several hogs with the snipers also with the NAP shockwaves, but nothing hits them harder than a Muzzy!! good luck your setup should be fine

Yep....we papertuned the Switchback when I bought it.....about 100 shots ago (or so). I guess I'm getting okay groups w/the Montec's...they're just hitting 1" high and left at 20 yards, and 3" high and left at 30 yards.
THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO FLY LIKE FIELD POINTS!!!
Anyway....does anyone else have anything to add about Rocky Mountain Snypers vs. G5 Montec's for hogs?
Or, for that matter, any other advice, suggestions, etc. for hog hunting in SC (NEVER done it!!!!!) YEEEEE HAAAAA!!!!!!!
Thanks!

Yea...that's what I hear. They'd have to be able to climb a tree to get to me on this trip, though. That and get over a .44 Magnum round to the nugget!
Big talk for someone not being run-down by a hawg....right???

YEeeeee Haaa!!!!!!
What else....anyone else got an opinion/advice on Snyper's vs. Montec's....or anything else about Hog huntin'...or SC huntin'.....????????
Thanks!

Hey zak123,
Yea...that's what I'm working on now. The down-side to that is that I still have almost 2-weeks to go before the hunt, and I want to shoot, shoot, shoot!!!!!
I just hate fiddlin' w/my sights all the time (here for the broadheads, back to here for the field points, etc.). I guess I should let G5 know that their advertising isn't exactly accurate!!
Any other thoughts/ideas/suggestions/pointers (no pun intended!) regarding boar hunting??
Thanks everybody!

You need to check your set up if they are not flying in line with your field points.
I hope you nail a boar and make sure you post some pics for us to see.
Good luck.
