Default need help with new bow sight

Hi, I am planning on buying a better sight for my bow for next year. The reason being is this year I had a 140ish 8 pointer come buy at the very beginning of legal shooting light at 20 yards broadside but wasnt able to get a shot because my pins werent lit up enough for me to see them well enough to make the shot. The sight I have is a cheaper Cobra sight, and I ended up not getting a shot after there was enough light for me to see my pins.[:@] So I was hoping i could get some suggestions on a good sight with glow pins that isnt too expensive since I'm a poor college kid. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hey man,
I had the EXACT same problem a couple of weekends ago, but in the last 3 minutes of shooting light, I couldn't see my pin through my peep, but I could still see the deer! Because of this, I too am buying a new sight! Since I am also a poor college kid, I will let you in on my secret , Here is a sight off of ebay, this guy has 100% feedback, and I am fixing to buy the exact sight in 2 days. This one ends in 4, and if you don't get it, He will put more up as they go off. Just don't bid against me!!! Good luck!

Check out the Impact Archery Cosmic ,it's only a single pin but it's as bright as your going to find .When your hunting you rarely get a shot past 30yrds and this sight will do the job .The price won't break the bank either. You can find these sight's on e-bay as well.

A second vote for the Impact Cosmic. I love mine, and it is an adjustable single pin sight, and the brightest Ive ever seen. And just bought one for my cousin on Ebay for 33 bucks. It wont dissappoint you.

G-Dawg that tru glow sight isn't going to be any brighter than any of the other sights that use the wraped pins like that one.

I bought the exact sight for my daughter and wife this year as a inexpensive sight on their first bows until I know they really want to shoot and they won't be hunting with it any way.

It is plenty bright in the day time with out the light as all FO sights are but I can tell with the utmost certainty that the light is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too bright. It is so bright that if you turn it on in dimming light it will completely blind you from seeing the deer at all. And the batteries rattle like crazy and make a heck of a racket.

I used the Vital Bow Gear Startrack this year. It's a single pin adjustable sight that has three feet of fiber optic cable and the yardage markers are also fiber optic so you can adjust the pin with a very minimal amount of light. I think they make a light for it also but you would never need it. If it's light enough to make out the shape of the deer, the sight is plenty bright to make a clean ethical shot. Also, its made out of metal so its pretty sturdy. I looked at the Impact Archery sights before I bought this one. They are nice and probably as bright, but I like metal as opposed to plastic anytime I can get it. VBG makes a lot of nice models, you may wanna have a look at them.

It cost a little bit of money but it's great in all light situations and even better if you have to start wearing glasses. I use a Red Dot Scope. It's a single dot with adjustable intensity levels and forces you to set up and achor at the same spot every time.

I use a Trophy Ridge Nitro Extreme. You can get the glow sticks and they actually light em up pretty good but I got tired of buying them so I bought the adapter plate and light for about $16 and can't imagine needing anything else.
