Here is a link to local news station in Columbus Ohio with the story. Pretty crazy I think.

That is a pretty crazy story. I bet it was a pretty scary situation to be in with his age.

I think they were stretching it quite a bit calling it a 300 pound buck though. The way they were carring it out of the home it couldn't have been more than 175 pounds live weight.

I noticed they really didn't show the head of the deer well. I guess they are showing respect by not doing so until the immediate family is notified.

I saw a better video on another local station and you are right, there is no way that buck is 300lb. That are has a few metro parks and there are some huge bucks in there but that guy I'm my opinion was around 185 to 200lb. probably a year and a half old buck but good size for that young. hey I Shoot Stuff i don't know where you hunt but i see bucks push well into that range at least once or twice a year. as a matter of fact a 15yr old shot what he thought was a huge doe during muzzle loader this year and it was a buck that shed already and took 3 men to lift it in the truck. it was a mile from where i hunt and the land owner has him on video with a rack. Just huge!!!!!!! wish I could find his sheds. so 300lb deer aren't that rare to me. Hell Ohio is just one big food plot. All corn and beans.
