Stealth Stabilizers

I am looking at getting one of the 6" hunter stabilizers but do not have the ability to test it first. For those who have them what did you have on your bow before you switched??? And is it really as good as everyone seems to say??

Thanks

I've tested many out there. I recently swiched from a Vibracheck to the Stealth. The Stealth is the best I have found.

RE: Stealth Stabilizers

Stealth Stabilizers are the best I have tested to date.......they will always find a place on my bows. On top of it Jerry is a member here and a heck of a nice guy, and he makes these things one at a time by hand.
He's the little guy (no offense Jer you are a little on the short side;)), up against the big names but IMO has the superior product.

One more thing you guys should know, Jerry is having his stabilizers dipped in Mossy Oak Obsession and the Realtree pattern that Mathews uses to match the bows exactly! This only adds $5 to the cost of the stabilizer.
He's having 'Waterdog" do his camo which is Bowtech's facility so I would guess the Mossy Oak Obsession ones should match the new Bowtech bows pretty well.;):D
I have an 8" in MOak on the way from jerry so I'll post a pic or 2 of it when it arrives.

A 6" or 8" will be a nice compliment on (I assume) your Allegiance? The 8" will have a bit more forward roll on the shot. depends on your preference for shot feel and static stability. I'm going to try the 8" on my Allegiance and currently have a 6" on my Liberty . I have used both a lot and they are both really good stuff.
It's one product that I can't remember one single negative comment about ever.......that says something.

Allegiance 05!

I have the Stealth 6" on my BowTech Patriot Dually and before it I had a Vibracheck Isolator on it and I found the Stealth to be hand's down the best .I'm going to be contacting Jerry about the 8" dipped in Obsession next ,hopefully in the near future.
I haven't either heard a negative comment about these stabilizer's and i know that alot of guy's on this forum use them,if there was something wrong with them then it would have been posted here for sure.

Yes I am definitely a die-hard Stealth guy!:) No doubt about it.......I'm sort of a nut when it comes to feeling like I have the very best accessories on my bows, and I have found nothing that equals a Stealth stabilizer for performance with regards to recoil, noise and vibration reduction.

And now the fashion concious girly men;),who don't like a black stabilizer can finally shoot one that will match your bow. At least you Mathews and bowtech guys for now.
Not sure if Jerry has plans for the Hoyt camo pattern? as these stabilizers work terriffic on those C & 1/2 bows.

If you haven't tried one, you really owe it to yourself. I'm not blowing smoke ,they are as good as it gets, and when you find the one that balances properly with your bow and individual tastes IMO you are going to have a heck of a time trying to beat it. I've tried with many many different ones.
I did a test a while back against a bunch of different models and Stealth was the best on every bow, and with every weight arrow I shot. "Saggitarius" also did a similar test with his batch of stabilizers (and he's REALLY a stabilizer nut) and came up with the exact same results.
Can't wait to show you guys my new Mossy Oak Obsession one.

IMPO the worst thing you can do is put a large stabilizer on the front of an Allegiance. It will throw the bow totally 'out of balance'.

So what would you put on it? I think it was a bit top heavy. So what do you suggest to counteract that?

RE: Stealth Stabilizers

Len,
I don't have my Allegiance here yet, and I know you have the Stealths in the shop........is the 6" a good match on that particular bow?
I know that it shares very similar geometry to the Liberty which I DO have a 6" Stealth on currently. For my tastes the bow is balanced very well.....it has the slightest forward tilt while static, but balance at the shot is perfect with the idler hardly moving in any plane.
I don't know about you, but I tend to worry about "Dynamic balance" (if that's a term?:D) a little moreso than static.

The recoil pattern is probably a little different on the Allegiance as well due to the symetrical ends, so I was wondering what you have tried and what is working for you........lengths and weights if you don't want to get into manufacturers.
Thanks,
gotta go warm up the snow shovel.:(

Matt:

You're right about the symetry of the cams. All I'll say is "don't overlook the rear stabilizer hole and offset brackets."

I think you'll find that the static and dynamic balance of this bow is not too dissimilar.

It is done. I ordered a 6" Hunter in black. The price for camo was a little high so I will have to cover it with camo tape while out hunting. Thanks for all your responses.

Allegiance, you'll like it that I'm sure of........but you don't HAVE TO cover it with anything. There's no glare, and Trust me, there isn't an animal on the planet that is going to notice that 6" length of black stabilizer.
The many steaks and mounts I have over the last few years will attest to that.;)

You can see my 6" Stealth on my Liberty in this picture.....the coyote didn't seem to mind.:D

I have been shooting Jerry's stabilizers for a while now. I use the 6 inch for hunting and use the 12 in for 3-D. I use the 12 in with the easton v-Bar and the 6 in for a side rod. I have it on my 2005 protec and set-up is the smoothest bow I have ever shot and balances out nicely. You can't beat a stealth.

I used one on my Outback and now will use one on my Switchback. Best stabilizer I've found or used.

I have been shooting the 8" Stealth for the Last six months and am exteremly impressed with it. But I have found a stabilizer that I think will beet it. It is the new stabilizer by bowtech. I shot it on a couple of Diamond bows a couple weeks ago and was totally impressed. For 45 dollars I am going to try side by side with the Stealth on my Patriot.

Can't wait to show you guys my new Mossy Oak Obsession one.

I gotta post up to say that I called Jerry tonight and ordered one of the new Mossy Oak Obsession 6" models. The guy actually pulled off the road on his way somewhere to take my order information, and made sure I knew that it may take a while for him to get the stabilizer to me since it was sent out for the dipping process. I really appreciate that someone lets me know that ahead of time before they take my money................

I think I am going to die of anxiety here.........today I ordered a leftover 04' Patriot s/c, a Drop Zone Guide Series, and now the Stealth 6". I can't wait to start getting these toys in the mail and get out to shoot............;)

This guy seems like a class act!

RE: Stealth Stabilizers

dang rickjames, we'll be shooting the same setup, except my stabilizer is 2 inches longer. i also have a sims enhancer in my rear stab hole and i added cat whiskers to go along with my bowtech silencing package, oh yeah, and a no peep. mine is an '05 patriot, got it as a replacement, but it's the same bow. i switched from a sims stab to the stealth and there is no comparison.

Guys, I know you like dealing directly with the guy that owns stealth, but he is selling them to cabels
( that where I bought mine). But if you are in a big hurry to get it you can check with Cabelas in you area if you have one close to you.

They sell for the same price asthey do on the internet.
