Default Good outfitters?

Has anyone been to or know of any good outfitters in the mid-west that have good deer and don't run 50 people through every season?

We went to Hadley Creek in IL. Way too many hunters. 48 or so per week! The deer are there, but they are too big for their britches.

I feel there are many good outfitters out there that do run 50 hunters a year. It all depends on how ground you have. 50 hunters a season is not very many considering most bookings seasons run 10 to 12 weeks on average. If you find places that run very few hunters through typically they dont have the ground to support anymore. 48 hunters a week, now that is crazy!

That's what he is doing. I would much prefer to talk to someone that has been somewhere and hunted as opposed to hearing what someone says about themselves on a website.

I hunt right across the line from an outfitter. From one of my stands this year, I can see across alot of his land. I have no idea what the name is, but if I figure it out, I will let you know. I helped shred some fields for the same outfitter but at a different location, he's got plenty of woods and fields. He usually only has 3 or 4 people at a time.

When I saw this thread I thought the question would get more hits if they asked which ones should I avoid. It’s very unfortunate. Some private land I hunt on, (I was told) had some outfitter dropping people off there. The owner wasn’t happy.

You might want to check out www.huntingunlimitedinc.com
I have bowhunted with them for the last 4 years in a row.
Larry prefers to take only 8 bowhunters in camp at a time.
I have a great time there bowhunting quality deer every year and will be returning there to bowhunt in the fall of 2005.
This is a Bowhunting only outfitter on their guided ground.

Yeah, that doesn't make alot of sence.

They all claim to be the best. I want information from my fellow hunters in the midwest that have been there, hunted them areas. Sounds like alot of people get hosed on these deals.
