Default A New Cabelas in our area

Just thought I would share my excitement, and my pocket book's dispare, about the Cabela's that opens this weekend in Kansas City, KS. I hope to get there this weekend or early next week and let my greenbacks take over. It will be interesting to see how nice this store is compared to the others.

Woodline...it actually opened about 2 weeks ago and is impressive as heck from all accounts. Kshunter who posts here works there. Are you from the area?

I am from around Des Moines, IA. I misunderstood the flyer I guess. It gave me the impression that this weekend was the grand opening. It sounds like I will enjoy myself.

I went there the second day it was open. It was also my birthday so I could rationalize a little bit of the money I spent

I thought the mule deer museum was pretty cool. I used to go to the Owatonna, Minnesota store a lot but KC is closer so I'll probably go there from now on.

One thing I was impressed with was the customer service. I really have to hand it to them, Cabela's is a class company! I am a Cabela's junkie.

Ya there new store is awsome, ive been 11 times already, its only 15 miles from my house!! ive spent more money on hunting stuff in these past few days then i have in the past 2 years. There Customer service is awsome. The Big opening when all the product reps will be there is this weekend, and thats the Grand Opening, be prepared to shuttle in because its going to be packed.

Lucky devil.... The county next to mine...about twenty minutes from my house....just received permission, zoning..etc.., to build a Cabelas' Superstore. That will be the first in PA and the first on Eastern Seaboard if I am not mistaken. I am saving up now so I can go on a spending spree when it finally opens. This was a long time coming. Can any of you imagine how insane it is going to be when PA hunters have access to a Cabelas in the area. I would be willing to bet that people are going to come from surrounding states and then some just to take a gander.

I am thinking of quitting my job and putting in an application in their archery department....

Crap...I think kshunter works in the archery department but I'm not for sure. Just look for his ugly mug and you will find him.

I wish a Cabela would open up in my area. Someone needs to give Basspro and their No Service attitude a run for their money!
