want to try bowhunting.

First of all I'd be going to a bow shop ,ask some question's and maybe they'll help by setting up a bow for you to shoot a few time's ,Don't go buying a bow if you've never shot one at least learn to shoot a bit before you decide ,If the bow shop will let you shoot a bow even a dozen time's then you'll know whether you want to buy one .Now as for which one to buy ,your bowshop will help you make the decision on which bow that might suit you best ,with proper draw length and draw wieght ,I'd be expecting to put out about 300.00 to begin with maybe more with some added accessories. You can spend a lot of money on a new bow and it's accessories so until you know for sure that your going to love it,then i wouldn't spend the big buck's to start .
First of all check all the bow shop's in your area to see what they have hanging in thier shop's .
Find a shop you feel most comfortable with.
Try shooting a few bow's before making a decision.
Set a pricerange.
then practice ,practice,and practice

Welcome to the sport. Nubo has some great advise. I was out of bowhunting for several years and when my son wanted to get into it we went with the lower end bows to keep the cost down. We just weren't sure if we would be doing it hardcore. After 2 season's we both decided that it was what we enjoyed most in hunting. We THEN spent the big bucks. I really feel that was the best way to handle starters like yourself. If you post where you live someone here may be able to let you know a good shop in your area. Good luck and the guys on this site are the greatest. I have learned so much about archery in general and it has really added to the whole experience.

I agree with the advice given above! You might want to look into a used bow! There are great deals out there, just find a good trusting shop. Good luck and welcome aboard!
