also check the PA game commission page: i did a paper in rural sociology on the over population of whitetail and methods of how to control them. the major point we used was that the hunting method not only reduces the herds in the best way but also generates revenue through hunting licenses and deer processing unlike other methods such trapping or birth control that cost the taxpayers money.
