I'm thinking about taking an elk bowhunting trip in the next couple of years. In your opinion, what state is the best to go to and why?

Well, I would say that if you have no preference points and you plan to hunt Public Land, then go to Colorado. The biggest herd resides there.

well, you need to ask yourself a few questions first, are you planning on hunting by yourself or with an outfitter, rifle or bow, trophy or meat?

once you get these figured out then you can start looking into different states.
