Bet we can all relate. I certainly can. Tell ya what cures me - watch the news. You have a healthy daughter that wants to be with you. We're healthy enough and have the means and equipment to get to our stand. We're not being blown up while eating lunch in a mess hall.

Not to lecture . . . Just something I have to remind myself, too. As I said, I can relate to feeling like the world fell in by missing my big shot for any reason.

Hey, sorry you missed the buck, but if your daughter knows how much you enjoy hunting, she knows you made a sacrifice just agreeing to go with her... I think you made a good decision eventhough it may have cost you Mr.Big... you never know, he may NOT have come by if you were there, he may have heard or smelled you, ya just never know.

Yes, I suppose he could have busted me, but very unlikely from the direction he came. But I do get another crack at him New Years weekend.
Have a great Christimas day everyone!!!!

Merry Christmas bow hunters!!! :D

Here's my take on hunting vs Christmas.... (Let me just leave it like this): Man, if I even THOUGHT of trying to go hunting on Christmas morning, I would be dead! [&:] Not only dead by my wife, but dead by my kids, my mother, my sisters, cousins, and other relatives... [&o] My wife's younger brother hunts, and he's in the same boats as me on her side of the family....

Oh well, there's still time left to hunt.....

He had been digging in the snow for the corn I had left.
Its illegal to bait in Indiana. You better be careful about bragging about it on the Internet, when you are doing something Illegal. You did the right thing about taking care of family matters first, though.

dkeener You have your priorities right. Big deal on the buck when you can spend time with your daughter at her request. Many would wish to be in your shoes.;)

Just for the record, I was hunting in Michigan. I live about 2 miles from the state line. Baiting is legal in Michigan.

I think it's obvious. You need to sell your family and buy more hunting gear.
