I hear ya Q2, I hear ya.....I don't know after shooting a Hoyt for so many years...I had a chance to talk with Q2 on the phone today for Christmans ( we live 2.5 hours apart) and he said the handle on the Switchback isn't that large stupid wooden handle they usually use.....(whisper) might be time to test shoot another MMmmmm (unwhisper) No I can't say it...LOL we'll see.

i got a lx in the spring . i dont think you could go wrong shoots great
1 problem i had 70 pds max was only pulling 64 set at max had to take back get string twisted
but puts them right in their got a 8point 16 inch spread 7 1/2 long tines
1 week of pa archery

I haved owned both and they are great bows. I like the Outback better. I really didn't notice any difference between speed and smoothness. The LX is longer and the Outback works better in a tree stand but I could deal with that. The really BIG difference, to me, was the brace height. I knew, after 20 years at this, not to buy a bow with a brace height under 7". I had problems when wearing heavy clothes of tapping the sleave and just couldn't deal with that issue so I sold the LX and got the Outback. I would defintely wait and shoot the Switchback before buying. I WILL NOT SHOOT THE SWITCHBACK FOR ANY REASON-NO WAY-NO WAY- NO WAY, WELL MAYBE JUST ONE SHOT!:(

Just saw the switchback today at the shop a guy bought the first one the store had got .It is one sweeet bow i might have to get one for myself.

I would wait on the Switchback. I generally like a longer ATA bow since I have a 30" draw. The Outback is a nice bow but the string angle is way too steep in my opinion for anyone with a draw over 29".

I have an LX and love it. I will keep it for along time, due to cost involved, but all 3 are very nice bows.

I have read on several other forums the drawlengths of the Switchbacks are running long and the back wall is not a solid as that of the LXs or Outback. I still plan on trying one out. Same as DoninVa, I would rather have the extra BH on the Outback for hunting.

i just shot the switchback today and there is no turning back i will have one by next month
