2004 doe bow kill pics
I shot this doe october 10th just finally got the pics back Earlier that day i dislocated my shoulder and it was still partially out when i went hunting talk about pain but i am devoted and just popped a tylenol and went hunting. I missed her the night before she same in late and i thought she was farther than she was and over shot her just grazing her back. Well the next night she came out of right where i saw her go in i watched her feed across the field for 10 mins waitin for her to clear my 30yd range. I kept hitting her with range finder she came into 29yds turned broadside and started feeding. I noticed the hair missing off it's back.I leveled the 30yd crosshair of my xbow scope in the pocket and let it rip i knew immedietelly i had made a good shot as she jumped and i immidetlly saw blood running from the wound i watched her run 60yds across the field than she started stumbling did a backflip and i didnt see her anymore. I called my father on my cell phone to come help me get the deer because i am a disabled hunter and needed help loading it up. While i was talkin to him i saw it raise it's head and start lookin at me so i immedietally told him 2 him i had 2 go to come and help me. It kept it's head up and looked at me for like 30 seconds than it died. I gave it 20 mins that slowly walked up on it from the rear with bow ready for another shot if necessary. It was dead when i reached it i was elated. I started field dressing it and my father arrived to help me drag and load it. Upon gutting i found i had caught middle of one lung back of other lung and liver that deer was dead on it's feet. It's not the biggest doe i ever saw but it sure tastes good and any deer with the bow is a trophy in my book. I took this doe from the ground with the use of a groundblind that i push in the ground in front of me 2 help break me up. Hunting from the ground is effective it just takes minimul movement and good backround and camo. This is a hunt i will never forget.

Here's another pic of my bowkill. This is the entrance wound right where i wanted it to be. I shot this deer with a 100gr GKF Hornet broadhead with 1 1/4 inch cutting diamater it did a nice job. I will deffinately use this broadhead again next year.
