Thanks, all of you for your advice. I'm sure the security folks thought I was nuts, as did many of the customers. I guess I should be glad no one advised something really ridiculous - I probably would have done it.

I purchased a Parker Hunter Mag that is set at 55 pounds. I am really enjoying it and appreciate the advice (and reassurances) that the draw weight is adequate for whitetail. I plan to take on some of the feral hogs on my lease in the next few months. I really want to learn proper shooting techniques and master my target shooting before I try any deer hunting.
