What ever you do, IMO, do not buy a magellan. I have personally had one fail on me, and have had a couple of friends that have purchased them and not had them work properly.
That's the first I've heard of that. My Sport track Topo pro is awesome. Whatever you do, spend the extra money to get one with the basemap capability. It'll come in handy if ever you just need to find your way out of the woods to the nearest road or the one you parked on. I didn't think I would need it so I bought a Garmin Etrex and it was fine but I didn't turn it on one time when I left the truck for an evening hunt and had trouble finding my way out. It was a big thick WMA by the way. If I had the basemap, I could just have headed in the direction of the road and then found my truck. Gotta have the basemap!!

It sounds like the eTrex Legend then. Ill spend the extra $50 for the basemap capability. Thanks for all your opinions.
