Ok, on Thanksgiving, we were sittin around talk at my house, and all of a sudden my mom starts yelling, "LANCE LANCE LANCE, GET IN HERE AND LOOK, LOOK!!!" So I get up and run to the door, and low and behold theres a buck standing the in the field across from my house. I couldn't tell exactly, but he was a pretty big eight or 10 pointer. Ive been seeing tons of does in the field, I mean tons, but never a buck, til then. Now, Take a look at the picture. Thats the outline of the field. The purple dot is where he was standing, and the line is where he ran after a car spooked him. The pink circle is where they feed. The straight red line is the top of a hill, and if your back in the corner, you cant see anything 'cept trees and the field. the green parallel lines is the path they always come out of. the red square is where I thought about setting up a blind. The field is clover, and during the summer my uncle shredded the field because it was getting weedy, well back in the corner where they feed, it pretty much didn't need shredded from them eating it all. Now, My question is, when theres snow on the ground, Do you think they would flock to this area to eat, or would they stay in the woods where theres cover when its cold? Got any tips or questions that i should know? Im settin up a blind, because there is another hunter in this spot, but just everynow and then, and I dont want to put a treestand because of him. I dont want to buy a climber because I have a VERY limited budget, Im getting the blind used for 20 bucks.

are you bowhunting or rifle? Looks like a good spot to me as long as you have a good wind. might wanna set a few ambush spots for the different wind patterns. the red parralel line on your blind side looks good. youll be higher than the deer, but would definantly have to have the perfect wind. wheres your house in this area. Good luck to ya

How about this? I think this is a better image. The pink dot is the feeding area, I had to draw in the pond, it was just built a couple years ago. The lime green is the path they ALWAYS come out of. The red dot is where I want to set up a blind. The purple line and dot is where he was standing at and where he ran when a car spooked him. and if you can see it, the blue line is the top of this hill. I will be bowhunting. and to the top of the hill, from the blind to the blue line is no more than 45 yards. The green aw is my house.

Looks like your set up in a good spot. As said befor make sure the wind is in your face. I would also set up by that pond and expect to see deer there in the morning.

yeah looks good, if you set up where you want too I would enter at the closest point from the main road. with a good wind you should be good to go. or set up near their trail in 50 yards with the WIND IN YOUR FAVOR and catch em coming out.
