I have a late season spot that doesn't get hit at all by shotgun pressure. Actually the bow pressure is very small. I always see deer until the end of the season here. Oh yeah, it helps to have about 1 acre of biologic goin strong when the snow hits.

I'll hunt til Jan 13th. Just knowing the long wait I have until Oct 1st will get me out there even though the freezer is full. I'm still after a wall hanger. This is my first year in Illinois so I'm looking forward to some snow for the late season. I had a nice doe in the yard yesterday and a small 8 pointer was in my woods this past weekend. There's not a lot of pressure where I hunt.

I have access to an acre of standing corn for late season. I love late season hunting. I hunt strictly for a mature buck up until January, then drop the first does I see to fill my tags... Find a good food source and it's like you have the world and deer to yourself...

Heck yeah, wouldn't miss it.....if you can find a food source, there will be deer near there. I am either going to take another Mature buck, or a doe this late season, one thing to remember dress for the weather.

I love to shoot. I hunt alone most of the time because my friends workends. I don't like to because I had climber stand break and was hanging in the tree luckly I had a friend with me.

We'll see if stupid imagestation is working today.

To answer your question, here's the one I took on December 26th this past season in Southern Illinois. Late enough for ya?
