if you use a GPS while hunting...
then I have a question for you.
I have a Garmin Etrex Vista and it has a selection for the best times to hunt. It will give you a prediction for either a poor, good, or excellent day for hunting. And it will also give you the best times to hunt as well in 2 hour windows.
First, how does it 'predict' if today is a good, bad or poor day? Second, how is it finding the best times to hunt? Is it preloaded in the unit or is it getting the info from satellites?
Also, would you trust these times and predictions?

What NH Buck said about the solunar tables being loaded into the software. It also throws your location into the mix as well. I use mine all the time and I have to say it typically is amazingly accurate, almost to the point it is downright scary.
