Removing arrows from a 3D?
Hey I got a new 3D target for christmas and finally got a chance to shoot it yesterday. Its cool, but is there a way to make the arrows easier to pull out? Some of them took two hands to pull.

a good ole bar of soap works. You can buy a arra puller or make one out of a round piece of rubber or a thin paper like rubber. They also have tubes you can dip ya arra in..cant remember whats in it.

Arrows, particularly carbons, are notoriously difficult to pull from a 3D target. I've found a light rub on the first few inches with "Dove" soap makes extraction a lot easier. There are several options though and I'm sure others will provide different approaches but this works best for me. Arrowsw even smell pretty !

The tube type arrow lubers usually use silicone or furniture polish. Just be careful when taking out carbon arrows. With aluminum you can twist the shaft as you remove it to break it loose and make it come out easier but if you twist carbon you will usually have a broken shaft (carbon is wrapped when made usually). Also if the target is cold the arrows will remove harder. The arrow pullers usually do make the arrows remove easier.

Tube lube or soap and a good arrow puller that's big enough to grip easily. An alternative is to get someone bigger and stronger to do it for you. My wife is for rent.

Four of us had the same problem this summer. We got the Pig Points from Cabelas, they work like a charm. They are an over-size point that tapers back to the shaft, and you can break off part that screws into the insert to make them match your broadhead weight. Absolutely unbelievable how much easier the arrow pulls from the target.

Give your arrows a little twist before pulling them out and it should. The foam bonds to the carbon because of the heat. With mine, once I break the bond they come out ok. Soap and water or silone on a sponge works pretty good too. Just wipe the arrow down every few shots and it works well.
