At the price of arrows I can't afford to waste mine on small game anymore.

I don't hunt for small stuff, so far only deer.
But if one of those little tree rats starts making noise and giving away my location while I'm hunting deer, he's gonna get intimate with one of my junk arrows tipped with a blunt or judo.

I shot at one just last Thursday. Nailed the branch he was on.
He jumped so high and far that he did a double back flip before landing on his tail and rolling about 5 feet down the slope.
He gave me one last bark before being on his merry way, but that was the last I had to hear of his yapping for the day.

I have inthe past. Pheasants and squirrels. Now, I hunt for rabbits in the winter. My beagle runs a patch that is too near some houses but holds many rabbits. I know where they will circle since we run there all summer long. I use my recurve and have fun. Actually looking forward to the end of Jan and beginning of Feb.

I've shot over a dozen chipmunks with my bow. I also shot a squirrel.

Well I hit a squirrel at 15 yards while it was climbing on the side of a big oak tree. I was using a 100 grain field tip (not wanting to waste a broad head). I heard a big pop when it hit. I couldn't beleive what I saw. The arrow was stuck in the squirrel half way. He didn't even fall. It ran up the tree and tried to get into his home (a hole in the tree) and he couldn't because of the arrow. I waited 2 hours to get my arrow back. It never fell and I never saw any blood. That's my first carbon arrow that I've lost this year. Never have found the squirrel or the arrow.

I had a great experience seeing some sort of big cat running through a field today. The sucker was the size of a coyote! I'm not sure I'd shoot it but I'd shoot a coyote if I had the chance... is that small enough?
