Welp, this morning was my first time out since the shotgun weekend. Bucks were still chasing. Hopefully I can bag something before the rut has come and gone because that's the only thing that's sending deer my way...

Interesting...going out Thanksgiving morning and Friday. Haven't been out bowhunting since last Wednesday (11/17). That was the only day I saw bucks chasing does...not that it means anything.
Good luck to ya!

Yesterday while in my stand at noon I had a non shooter buck chaseing a doe by me at 30 yards... he was grunting the whole time, she acted like she was running for her life.
I took a break and took the climber stand and went to the cut corn field.
I spent the evening watching turkeys, does and yearlings in the cut corn but no bucks appeared.
On the 18th the day before shotgun my husband arrowed a nice 10 point buck that was going to the cut corn field I assume to check all the does in the field , there were so many does in the field my husband said he quit counting them.
On 11/19/2004 when we went to retrieve the 10 pt buck we had a Great shooter buck cross the path right in front of our truck... he was with a hot doe.
Wish I could go today but gotta work sometime.
I'll be out tommorrow am.
