    Choice "C" worked out just fine. I went and enjoyed my last 3 hours in the woods for at least several weeks. Got home at 4:30pm with no thought of what time it was. She has her mind on the trip and the beach.

    I loved all the responses. For those of you who are newly weds. My wife told me pre-marriage she loved to fish, hunt and camp. So I married her. Then I found out fishing is great if I bait the hook and/or give up my rod to her when the deed is required. Camping was once in her backyard but she never made it through the night. Hunting she plain lied. She never did or wants to unless you count the time she snared her rabbit, me.

    Option C all the way. Communication with the spouse about how important hunting is to you- and 4 weeks out of 52 is not asking to much for a passion.

    Ive only been married two months but so far she has been pretty cool about me hunting. My biggest mistake was getting married on the opening day of bowhunging!!

    Looks like marriage is already effecting you



    My fiancee practically pushes me out the door. She wants venison

    The best way to explain it to your wife is to tell her that the rut is like a giant sale were everything is 80% off and you would never ask her to miss that.
