Default which bow will i like better ? SQ2 or LX ?

I just traded for two Mathews bows - an SQ2 and an LX. Which will I like better in ya'lls opinion ? I've only shot a Mathews Q2 and liked it, killed a deer with my dads with only a few practice shots - very accurate shooting compound.

Any opinions ?

I used to have a SQ2 for bout 3months but came to realize i didn't care for the shortness of it.It just wasnt me.. I loved the bow though it was a shooter... I now own a legacy and just a few inches made a big difference for me.. I don't know bout the LX .. I shot a used one at a shop and i didnt care for it to much but thats me.. You will just have to shoot them and see which one you like the best..

A couple of questions:
1. What type of terrain do you principally hunt and what are the typical shot distances?
2. What is your draw weight and draw length?

Buckfevr - tree stand hunting for the most part. I do elk hunt every year and in 2005 am going to burn my 8 Colorado PP for mule deer - likely archery. I went 12 years of compound hunting, my last bow being a Reflex I think. I've hunted for 3 years with a longbow and am temporarily going back to compound. My draw and the weight I can change or get changed - I know enough about compounds to make it shoot well for me. Compounds are easy to shoot for the most part - though I know some are less forgiving, more forgiving, have issues etc etc.

THANKS !

For many years I used to exclusively hunt thickets. 95% of my shots were coming inside of 15 yards, so that manueverability was the key issue. For that type of hunting the SQ2 would have to be the ultimate bow and at those close ranges the power isn't that crucial. But for any other type of hunting, for instance tree stand hunting in big timber, where a 30 yard shot is likely I would prefer the LX. Longer riser, longer ATA, and from all accounts a very stable platform. Also definitely more power than the SQ2.

I think the SQ2 is a special purpose bow. Can't you keep both?

Buckfevr - I could keep both, sell both - I'm not limited right now really. The LX will likely bring quite a bit more. I'll likley keep whichever shoots better, feels better and such. Power is irrelevant after shooting a 27 foot pounds, 170 fps longbow for 3 years ! It'll be kinda fun to see how finicky that short SQ2 will be .......... thanks for the input
