Breeding age????
I was out hunting last week and saw a button buck tending a doe. He seemed to know what he was looking for. I know that a yearling doe can be bred in a late rut if she was born early enough in the spring. But do you think a yearling buck can bread a doe if he is capable of reaching? Watching that button buck was one of the funniest things that I think I have encountered. He had his nose to the ground just like his bigger counterparts.

RE: Breeding age????
I believe if he can reach it he can breed her.that is the reason the old does run there buck fawns off.also that is why the farmer cuts or sells his young bull calf's.

RE: Breeding age????
Hee hee hee. The size difference between a button buck and a mature doe reminds me of a saying that my dad used to use when describing a short guy that dates a tall girl...
