Mikeforelk, I’m not that far along yet but someday! Someday!! O yeah, I'm talking about Do-It-Yourself elk hunt. Wwwhooooo that would be awesome.
LOL
thanks!
Your not kidding I couldn't be more happy with everything. I do wish someone else got one but next year maybe.
Thanks all for the congrats! I'm trying to slim the pic down so it's not such a pain to read the story![:-]
It's always the out of staters isn't it
great job in all aspects of sharing your hunt Mantis
That is like a dream come true with everything coming together as it did.

Congrats on the buck. When you can travel to a new area, find a place to hunt, get that "feeling this is the right place", and then connect sure does do wonders for the confidence. Again, congrats on the awesome hunt.

Hello Mantis,
Your mom recommended we check out your story and pic, and I'm glad I did. I have to tell you that is a very nice whitie! Way to go! In fact, I'd like to see his brother cross my path soon.
Your account of the adventure made me smile. I just returned from a hunt in Colorado that I planned and took care of myself. It felt really good to do that. I took a beautiful cow elk on the first morning of the season. It was such an amazing hunt, but the 10,000+ ft elevation several mile pack-out was killer. Don't get much exposure to that here in the East!
Anyway, sincere congratulations. That's exactly how it's done
