.... in my API. I bought another climber(Buckshot) back during crop damage. It has a great seat. I had loved my API as far as fast, quiet and all that..... BUT I HATED the seat. It was not meant for long stays. So anyway, I used the Buckshot until this week. It was tough to climb down. I added the toe straps,.... still a bummer. You could only move it a little bit at a time and it was a chore. Once up in the tree it was roomy, solid as a ROCK and stable..... BUT... then you had to come down.

So, I got playing around, added some Buckshot backstraps(with chest strap) to my API. Then I tried the Buckshot seat on my API... WHOA Nelly.... it fit. Then I had to figure out how to transport and secure... No problem. Then I decided it cut down on my move around space. I tried it and decided it worked. Now I have the best of both worlds. I can climb faster, better, quieter, set up quicker and I'm comfy once I'm there. I also found the zip straps that BUckshot uses work great at securing my stand to keep it from moving once in place. That's the strap I didn't have in place on the Buckshot when I fell back in crop damage season.

Rick (MDbowhunter) saw the trouble I was having and even offered to sell me a brand new Summit Goliath he has still in a BOX for $200. Don't ask me how, but he has two of them. And I thought I was bad. He uses one Goliath and has the other still in the box. Truly a great buy, but I wasn't really in need of a THIRD CLIMBER. If I only had one I would have snatched it up in a heart beat. He even offered to ship it down from NJ... for the $200. Would have saved $100 at least off one in a store. It was tempting.... but now I"m set. I may uses the buckshot as a put it on a tree and leave it in the woods stand. All I'd have to do is carry in the seat and zip strap.

ANYWAY,,,, it's good to be back in my API.
