Don't worry too much. My neighbors farm and the deer don't seem to care what they are doing. They've almost hit deer who didn't move out of the way of a big tractor coming through. For some reason, they just get used to it.

I'd go to the edge of the woods and wait it out. Often, if they are nervous, they'll stick close to the edge when the cover gets mowed down.
