It all started with a small coyote coming in at about 7:00 my attention was all on him, I was waiting on a shot to remove him from the farm. He passes thru to fast for a shot. Hoping to call him back I reach in my fanny pack and pull out my primos can call. I tip it over fast 4 times trying to get the yotes attention, but to no avail. I then sit back down wishing I could have taken him.
I then see movement to my left. 50 yards away this buck was chasing a doe right to my stand. He steps into a shooting lane at 29 yards and I let a Gold Tip pro hunter tipped with a 100 grain slick trick fly. Double lung passthrough. He ran 50 yards, I watched him fall over in sight. He expired with in 15 seconds of the shot.
He has 12 points and split brow tines on both sides.
I grossed scored him at 161 1/8 inches. 18 3/4 inch inside spread.
185 pounds field dressed and aged 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 years old.
He is the largest buck I have taken, I arrowed him from the same stand that I took my buck last year in. The stand has produced 2 mature bucks in as many years
I also have a shed from this guy I found 3 winters ago, Its a very rewarding feeling to take a buck whos shed you have found. I am very pleased with this season

Nice buck...REALLY NICE BUCK and I love the split brow tines. I would suggest this is NOT the deer you found the shed from 3 years ago. He doesn't have the mass of much more than a 3 year old as it is. Maybe 4 tops. BUT ...... REALLY a nice buck.
