Default My first Deer

Hey Guys,
My first post and my first deer. I am hunting a lease in Mason, Texas. I have spent the last three seasons in Michigan, but moved down here last year. This guy came in right before dark. We let him sit for a couple of hours and ended up finding him about 150 yards away. Hit him in the sweet spot, but he must have been more quartering on than I though because it exited his opposite rear leg. Cleaned him quick and he is getting processed as we speak. Getting him mounted as well, being my first deer and all.

Anyway, thanks for the info. Great board!!!!

Aaron

Congratulations & welcome to the board! How awesome is that to have a nice buck as your first. I had a decent sized 8 pointer at about 20 yards on my first ever outing 4 years ago. I just froze & watched as he walked by. But I was hooked from that moment on just as I know you are now hooked.

Congrats again!
