Default String Loop

I'm going to put a new string on soon and was wondering if I should go with a string loop? What are some opinions on it? Is one type better than another? What are the advantages/disadvantages? I've always just used my caliper release on the serving and never had any problems. Thanks.

WV: Go with the string loop. It saves a whole lot of wear and tear on your serving.

i have shot a loop for years and never have had one break, although i check it regularly for wear and the knot i use has a knot overhand knot on the ends.
