Default Got One!!!!

We'll it's been two years since my last deer kill, let alone with a bow. I was trying to get home from work early so I could get out because my wife has to work this weekend and we just had twin girls.... I finally got to my stand about 4:30 central time and a doe was standing in the field in front of my stand. At about 5:30pm the land owner came out and drove around the property with his wife in two different cars, thanx a lot. They stayed for about 30 min driving around 80 acres. After they left I said I'll stay for a few more min. and see. 10 min after they left a doe and this buck stepped out. He's not the biggest but after a two year drought I let my 400 beman with a 125 grain Muzzy go. I hit a little back but still did the job. 100 yards and he was down in the field, thank you. Also Im not sure if should get him mounted, no jokes please, or not It's not the biggest buck but It is still a buck with a BOW!!!! Would you mount him? Mark

Congrats on your buck!! As to whether you would mount it or not has a lot to do with personal choice, what part of the country are you from, what are the size of bucks in your area and your cash flow. If you can afford it, then heck...why not and who cares about the rest of it. lol

I wouldn't if it were me, but that's just me.

Congrats! That's a nice lookin' buck!

Would you mount him?
I'm not into that kind of thing! J/K!!! If it's your biggest buck I'd have him mounted.

Congrats!! I'd mount that one in a minute!! I'm new to this forum stuff and am really enjoying it. I'm heading down(I'm from Alaska) to PA to my old haunts on 5 Nov. and if I got one like that, you better believe I get him on the wall. No telling when the next nice one will come by!

Mark,

That's a nice buck and heck yeah, if you want to mount him, mount him...I have a buck mounted that is a little smaller than him...It's honoring the animal and if you want to mount him, go for it....and congratulations on a fine animal. You Go.

Any deer harvested with the bow is good. If you can afford it, mount the buck-- head, horns or Euopean mount. I have taken bucks over the years and failed to mount them in some form and wished I had. Do whatever your budget allows. Nice buck!

Mark,
If it were me I would mount him in a heartbeat. Listen, a Buck to harvest is always nice with a bow. That appears to be a nice typical 6 point or maybe 7. Nice face on the buck. Go get him to the taxidermist and get him on the wall to recount the memories of a good bowhunt.
