Default Hubby tricks his wife.....

One of my neighbors came over and helped me tweak my bow last night. He told me about a friend of his who wanted to get his wife to draw more weight on her bow.
Everytime she'd go inside for water, or was distracted from their bow practice long enough, he would tweak her bow up ever so slightly on the amount of weight she drew.

He took her, by very slight incriments, from 50-65 lb. draw before he ever told her anything. Of course he got smacked a good one when he told her.
All turned out well in the end though. She was happy with what he did.

This could work on kids too. If they are thinking they can't pull more....

I guess it could work if you did it very slow and over a period of time and not all at once. But what about getting smacked!I am not out to look for ways to get smacked![8D]

Get a few years under your belt and if you don't get smacked every now and then, then your livining a boring life.

OOPS[:-]Sorry mods this may need to be moved to a non-hunting page.

Yea I did the same thing with my wife. I increased her about a lb a week and she never new the difference. She gained about 8 lbs of draw weght and had no idea. Sometimes we create road blocks for ourselves in our subconscious mind. I just wanted to remove the road blocks for her and it worked very well.

That's a great idea. Not that there is anything wrong with shooting 45lb fo instance but I thik the odd are higher when you got an extra 10 or 15 lbs behind the arrow. I'll have to remember this one for future use.
